Parenting Educators provide a safe community for parents and caregivers to share and to learn from each other. We respond to concerns, gather and share information, and support parents in problem solving. We also provide fun opportunities for parents and children to connect with each other.

Baby and Toddler Basics

Our philosophy:

Parenting is a process that requires constant learning and support. All parents need practical tools and supportive communities in order to raise healthy, happy children.

Note: The term Parent on this website refers to caregivers of all kinds: birth parents, adoptive parents, foster parents, grandparents, and caregivers.

Parents function best when:

  • They are able to take good care of themselves.
  • They are well supported.
  • They have a good understanding of their child’s developmental stage.
  • They have tools to work through challenges.
  • They have a strong, loving attachment with their child.

Our Community:

Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a community to provide a comprehensive network of supports for parents. To increase communication and cooperation between the many community providers of parenting education and support, Youth Alternatives Ingraham has taken the lead in developing the Parenting Support Collaborative. The PSC is a network of providers that meets quarterly and communicates frequently via email through a member distribution list. Our goal is to maintain a shared sense of what we are all doing for families, so we can efficiently link parents to the resources that best fit their needs. Interested in being added to the PSC list? Send us an email request today!
