Maine's families. Under one roof.

At Youth Alternatives, our years of experience have shown us that every child needs a family - biological, adoptive, foster or extended - and every family needs support to remain healthy and happy.

That’s why we’re transforming a historic barn in the Brickhill development at the former reform school for boys in South Portland into a Family Center. Here, children and their families will learn to prevent and resolve the crises that may be tearing them apart.

Within the welcoming, supportive environment of the Family Center, our counselors and care givers will be able to reach more families, with more help and services, more often. With your help, we look forward to revitalizing this historically important structure while helping to restore and transform family relationships.

Thank you for visiting the Family Center website.
