On June 8 and 9, 2008 in Portland, YAI (Youth Alternatives Ingraham) hosts Strategizing The Link, A National Town Meeting on Advancing Public Policy and Community Coalitions. Professionals in animal welfare, veterinary practice, humane societies, the social services, criminal justice, prosecution, and education will gather for this one of a kind, national conference to discuss The Linkage Project.

The next session of PERC classes (Parent Effectiveness in Resolving Conflict with your teen) will begin on Tuesday, April 29th. The classes are held on Tuesdays from 6-8pm for 7 weeks at the Family Center. For information on how to register, please contact Deb Dunlap at 207-874-1175.

Youth Alternatives/Ingraham will celebrate the Portland Sea Dogs’ return from spring training with the perennial community favorite Sea Dogs Welcome Back to Benefit Youth Alternatives/Ingraham dinner on April 2, 2008.

The Standish Schoolhouse Arts Center reserved 50 tickets to the April 9 performance of the teen drama Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep for teenagers served by Youth Alternatives/Ingraham programs. All proceeds from the Wednesday night performance will benefit Youth Alternatives/Ingraham.

Youth Alternatives has officially moved our offices to The Youth Alternatives Family Center, a one-of-its-kind facility that will provide the physical and emotional space kids and their families need to communicate openly and enhance their relationships.
